To Great Danes of the Lighthouse:
I wanted to write a letter telling
everyone about how great you and your "extended family"
really are.
I purchased "Annika of the
Lighthouse" on February 8th,
2008. When I went to pick her up I was not only greeted by
the owners of Great Danes of the Lighthouse, but also by
their "extended family", their other dogs. Annika's mother
"Diva" and father "Enno" were both there as well, and they
were awesome!!! Very well behaved and very loving!! Just
down right beautiful Danes!! And one very important thing
that I noticed when I got there, these Danes were part of
their family, they weren't cooped up in smelly pens or
chained to some tree, they were enjoying the luxury that any
other family member had in the house!!
We've had Annika in our life now
for 4 months and she has been great!! We take her everywhere
we can and it's amazing how many compliments we get on how
well she behaves or how beautiful she is!! We have 4 cats
and she gets along great with them. She's been around other
dogs from teacup Poodles to Afghan hounds and she seems to
know when she can rough house and when she can't. She loves
children. She even played with my neighbors 1 year old!! She
just laid there and let this
little girl crawl all over her with no complaints!
But I must say, I have to give the
owners, Andreas & Manuela credit for all the great work
they've done with their "family". They've given us a great
addition to our own family.
And on a more personal note: My
family and I lost our home to a fire on May 12, 2008. The
local hotel would not allow us to bring our pets, Yes
believe it or not the Baymont Inn turned away our pets. The
local vet allowed our cats, but not Annika! Manuela drove 65
miles to pick up Annika until we
could find a place to stay with our pets!!
Great Danes of the Lighthouse
isn't just a breeder you buy a Great Dane from. When you buy
a Great Dane from them you not only get a great and
wonderful addition to your own family, but you have two
wonderful people to talk to as well.
